Juventus are reportedly showing interest in signing Barcelona winger Ferran Torres, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Interestingly, this is not the first time the Serie A giants have been linked with Torres, as their interest in the Spanish forward stretches back to last summer’s transfer window.
It has been suggested that Juventus are keen to add a winger to their squad to support their striker Dusan Vlahovic.
Meanwhile, the Barcelona player has consistently been focused on his goal of succeeding at the Catalan club, which has been his dream ever since he first wore the famous Barça shirt.
A regular with no future
Torres remains determined to make his mark at Barcelona and despite Juventus’ ongoing interest, the player is currently enjoying a regular spot in the team.
He has been a key figure in Barcelona’s squad this season, appearing in nine matches so far, including seven La Liga games and two in the Champions League.
During these appearances, the Spanish international has managed to score one goal and provide two assists, contributing significantly to the team’s performances.
Despite that, though, we exclusively claimed that the forward has no future at the club. In fact, his regular appearance under Hansi Flick is largely down to the injuries to key players.
While Juventus remain interested in bringing Torres to Italy, it appears the player is happy at Barcelona and focused on his development there.
That said, the Turin-based team is exploring other options to bolster their attack. Among the players they are considering are Rennes’ Arnaud Kalimuendo and Luka Jovic from AC Milan.
Despite their admiration for Torres, it looks like the Bianconeri may have to look elsewhere to strengthen their squad, as Torres’ commitment to Barcelona suggests he has no immediate plans to leave.
