LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball continued to add to its 2025 recruiting class Saturday, with a commitment from Bryson Tiller.

Tiller, a 247Sports Composite five-star power-forward, is the second to join the Jayhawks in this class form Overtime Elite. So, too, did four-star small forward Samis Calderon. Tiller made his announcement on the 247Sports YouTube page.

“Kansas has a rich history,” Tiller said. “They’re known for putting out players at my position. So, I feel like if I go there and do what I need to do, then I will have no problem being the next person up.”

Tiller is listed at 6-foot-10 and 240 pounds. He’s the No. 5-rated player at his position, and the No. 21-rated player overall. He joins a Kansas recruiting class that includes a five-star combo-guard in Darryn Peterson, who’s the No. 1 combo-guard in the nation and No. 3 player overall, and a talent in Calderon who’s the No. 12 small forward in the nation and No. 55 player overall.

The commitment adds fuel to the momentum that’s already existed amid Kansas’ successful start to the current season. The Jayhawks, ranked No. 1 in the nation, already beat a ranked UNC team at home. They also just beat Michigan State in recent days in Atlanta as a part of the Champions Classic.

The Kansas roster will look much different next season, given the talent that will move on from the Jayhawks after this season. Head coach Bill Self’s roster features numerous veterans. But the talent Self and company are bringing in put them in an advantageous situation, and again Tiller and Calderon are not strangers.

“Me and Samis are good friends, so we know how to play off each other pretty well,” Tiller said. “And it’s going to be a good experience going out there with him and winning.”
