MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball can get a fresh start Monday against Cincinnati in the Big 12 opener for both teams.

The Wildcats (6-5) head into the 6 p.m. game at Bramlage Coliseum on a three-game losing streak, but a victory against No. 17 Cincinnati (10-1) would be monumental given the turnaround it will take for them to reach the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats, who are back in Bramlage for the first time since Dec. 1, are coming off an embarrassing 84-65 loss at Wichita State on Dec. 21, a game in which they led by four at halftime.

Kansas State vs Cincinnati prediction

K-State should be competitive at home in Bramlage Coliseum, even if playing on a weeknight with students out of school might limit the crowd size. But Cincinnati has been by far the better team to this point and rightfully are still favored.
