Aberdeen first-team coach Peter Leven, who was interviewed for St Johnstone’s managerial vacancy, has told the Perth club that he will be remaining at Pittodrie after holding talks with manager Jimmy Thelin and the club hierarchy. (Sunday Mail)

St Johnstone are aiming to finalise a deal with Tiernan Lynch on Sunday to make the Larne boss their new manager after choosing the 44-year-old as their number one candidate, but it is now down to the Scottish Premiership club agreeing a financial package with the Northern Irishman.
