Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been unveiled as Red Bull’s Global Head of Soccer, with his role officially commencing on January 1, 2025.

It’s a stunning appointment by the energy drink giant, which runs clubs in Germany, Austria, Brazil, the United States and Japan and which recently took an ownership stake in Leeds United.

The 57-year-old is set to break his hiatus and sign a four-year contract with Red Bull.

“In this position, he will oversee the company’s international network of soccer clubs,” a statement on the Red Bull Content Pool read.

Alisson set to miss season-defining run of games

Liverpool have been spectacular so far this season, but their most recent Premier League win was marred by injury problems.

The Reds continued their stay at the top of the league table with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, but the win was somewhat overshadowed by injuries to Alisson and Alexis Mac Allister.

It has now been revealed that Alisson’s injury will see the Brazilian shot-stopper sidelined for around six weeks and at least until the next international break in mid-November.

This means that Liverpool will be without their first-choice goalkeeper for their next league game against Chelsea at Anfield, a visit to RB Leipzig, a visit to Arsenal, two games in four days against Brighton, and matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa.

It’s a massive one for Jones, who has been very impressive across the last few games for Liverpool. A well-earned call up and we can’t wait to see what he can do.

The Portuguese international has struck a deal with his former club, FC Porto – where he spent a year on loan in 2016/17.

Now, we know how that sounds but this isn’t a transfer. It is, quite literally, a deal directly with Jota over his Luna eSports team.

Porto are combining with Luna, who themselves are a combination of two former eSports teams, to compete together in eSports.

Luna play across EAFC, DOTA 2 and Rocket League, starting out as Diogo Jota eSPorts and Galaxy Racer.

Liverpool’s biggest rival on the pitch for the last five years has been Manchester City, but now it is City’s off-the-pitch actions that are making headlines.

On Monday, a judge ruled in Manchester City’s legal case against the Premier League and both parties celebrated victories of sorts.

Both City and the Premier League released statements essentially claiming victory and some change will come about to the league’s associated party transaction (APT) rules.

And now, according to a report by The Telegraph, City executives sent an email to the 19 other Premier League clubs following the league’s statement on Monday’s ruling, essentially dismissing the Premier League’s summary of the tribunal’s findings.
