Liverpool were reportedly left shocked when one of the club’s key players reported his injury to them.
It’s still early days for Arne Slot as head-coach of the Reds.
For now, the Dutchman has escaped any serious injury problems to date even without rotating too many of his key players.
But during this international break in October, there is no denying Slot has had to sweat over the fitness of some Liverpool stars.
Most notably Alexis Mac Allister, who has since regained his match fitness and could be available for the Reds’ game against Chelsea.
But it’s not just the Argentine who has faced injury problems this week.

Why Liverpool were shocked by Kostas Tsimikas’ injury
Kostas Tsimikas missed Greece’s game at Wembley against England last week and for a peculiar reason.
The Liverpool left-back had pharyngitis, which prevented him from playing the game, and this came as a shock to Liverpool.
According to Greek outlet Sportime, the club could not believe Tsimikas’ injury and were left surprised by his inability to play the game against England.

However, the Reds will be glad to know that the defender has since recovered from his illness and was fit enough to play eight minutes coming on as a late substitute in Greece’s 2-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland, in a game where Caoimhin Kelleher was caught making a bit of a blunder.
Tsimikas has been a really valuable member of Slot’s squad this season so having him fit is a huge boost for the Reds.
Why Tsimikas is ‘unbelievable’
The Greek international is also a great character in the dressing room. Harvey Elliott made that clear in an interview with the club’s official website a couple of years ago, describing Tsimikas as ‘unbelievable.’
“He’s an unbelievable guy, one of my favourites in the world, to be honest. He’s a lovely guy and got a lovely family around him. So to be able to spend time with him, go for food and have a nice holiday with him, it’s great company to say the least,” Elliott said.
