According to Italian reports, Manchester City scouts will be in the stands for Inter–Torino to scout Nicolò Barella and Samuele Ricci as replacements for Rodri.
The Citizens will be without their key midfielder for the rest of the season after a serious anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.
They have already been linked with Serie A players as his replacement for the January transfer window, as the hot favourite is Italy international Ricci.
It will not be cheap, as he is expected to go for over €30-40m, having already been close to Napoli and Milan over the summer.
Barella and Ricci watched by Manchester City
Calciomercato.com claim that Manchester City have sent scouts to the stands for this weekend’s match between Inter and Torino.
Ricci is set to be in action for Toro in the Serie A clash at San Siro on Saturday evening.
However, Barella is not going to be involved because he is struggling with a muscular injury.
The Inter player would not be available for Manchester City to buy in any case, having recently signed a new contract and commanding a price-tag of over €80m.
