RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško was reportedly on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar during the last summer transfer window as they looked for a new goal-scoring option following Kylian Mbappé’s departure.
However, it seems that one Premier League club might have the upper hand in this pursuit. The Slovenian forward, who is under contract with Leipzig until 2029, had an impressive 2023-24 season, netting 18 goals and providing two assists in 42 appearances for the German side.
The Parisians were linked to various strikers this past summer. Nonetheless, sporting advisor Luis Campos didn’t add another No. 9, but with Gonçalo Ramos injured, hindsight might say that PSG should’ve pursued a striker.
PSG are counting on Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani to provide the goals this season. Still, should this fail, could the Ligue 1 side revisit the Šeško file since the French giants have a good relationship with Leipzig?
If the capital club does return, they face competition as Give Me Sport reports that Manchester United are still interested in signing the 21-year-old forward from Leipzig.
Could the Red Devils land the forward, or another club claim the favorite to land the Leipzig standout as the season progresses?
