McPHERSON, Kan. —A familiar face will be taking on a new role in 2024 as former student assistant Ethan Finckbone has joined T.J. Eskildsen men’s basketball staff as the new assistant coach.

“We are excited to officially welcome Ethan to our staff! Ethan was a student assistant for us this past season and will step into a larger role this year.”

Prior to joining McPherson College, Finckbone spent three years as a student assistant at Bethany College, where he was on a basketball scholarship before sustaining an injury during his freshman campaign that would end his playing career.

Before attending Bethany College, Finckbone played two seasons at Patoka High School in Illinois before finishing his final two seasons at Odin High School, also located in Illinois. During his senior season, Finckbone would become an all-conference athlete and reached the 1,000-career points milestone.
