Patrick Mosin won the 2024 Cardiff Half Marathon with an unofficial time of one hour and one second.
Fellow Kenyan Miriam Chebet won the women’s race with an unofficial time of 01:06:42.
County Durham’s Callum Hall was the first wheelchair racer to cross the line, in a time of 55:05.
More than 29,000 participants signed up for the event, with organisers describing this year’s edition of the race as the “biggest year ever”.
And it was 24-year-old Mosin who won the 13.1 mile (21km) men’s title in the Welsh capital – finishing 31 seconds off compatriot Leonard Langat’s record of 59:30 set in 2019.
“This is our biggest year ever with over 29,000 people registered to take part across the weekend,” said Matt Newman, chief executive of Run4Wales.
