Motorcyclist dies in hospital after hitting concrete wall. Boise police investigate

Date:

Boise police are investigating a motorcycle fatality after a crash occurred in the early morning hours Sunday.

At 2:50 a.m., officers responded to the S. Vista Avenue and West Rose Hill Street intersection, southwest of downtown, the Boise Police Department said in a Tuesday news release.

The man operating the motorcycle died from his injuries at a hospital on Monday.

“On scene, there was no immediate evidence that another vehicle was involved,” police said. “Witnesses reported seeing the victim after the crash, but officers did not locate anyone who witnessed the crash.”

Police said a preliminary investigation by the department’s crash reconstruction team found that the motorcyclist was heading north on Vista and had gone through the S-curve around the Boise Depot before crossing the intersection at Rose Hill and hitting a concrete wall.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim once his family has been notified.

Police have asked anyone with information about the crash to call Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790.
