It wasn’t Allen’s best day. He completed 22-of-37 passes for 280 yards, and while he didn’t throw for a touchdown, he got work done with his legs, with 50 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. His major issues came on interceptions. Allen came into the game having thrown just two interceptions on the entire season, but he doubled that total on Sunday.
Thankfully for the Bills, Allen’s interception issues didn’t doom the offense. But it was a different story for the Colts and their QB Joe Flacco, who threw three ill-timed interceptions that killed the team’s momentum and ended valuable scoring opportunities. The Bills defense was all over Flacco’s receivers as well as Flacco himself, sacking him four times.
With this win, the Bills are 8-2 for the first time since 1993. With this loss, the Colts are 4-6 and the coaching staff needs to have a serious discussion about whether Joe Flacco really is the best option for the team going forward, or if it’s time to give Anthony Richardson another chance.
