Nick Bosa is likely to play, Dre Greenlaw officially activated

Date:

The 49ers defense is set to get a couple of key pieces back on Thursday night.

As expected, the team has activated linebacker Dre Greenlaw from the physically unable to perform list. Greenlaw has not played in a game since tearing his Achilles in the Super Bowl in February, so it has been a long wait for him to be back in the middle of the action.

Defensive end Nick Bosa hasn’t been out quite as long, but his absence for the last three weeks with hip and oblique injuries has been a significant one. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Bosa, who was listed as questionable on Wednesday, is likely to play against the Rams.

The 49ers also elevated running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn from the practice squad. He’ll provide depth with Isaac Guerendo listed as questionable to play due to a foot injury.

Guard Ben Bartch was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury to round out the day’s roster moves.
