Notre Dame men’s basketball learns schedule for Thanksgiving week tournament

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – The Notre Dame men’s basketball team has now officially finalized its non-conference schedule for the upcoming year after the Players Era Festival officially announced its schedule and matchups.

The Fighting Irish are one of eight teams who are being invited to Las Vegas the week of Thanksgiving to compete in this first-of-its-kind event.

It will be played as two separate four-team round-robin tournaments, with Notre Dame facing Alabama, Houston and Rutgers in the “Impact Tournament.” The second tournament, known as the “Power Tournament,” will feature Oregon, San Diego State, Creighton and Texas A&M.

It will be an early season test for the Irish. In ESPN’s Way Too Early Top 25 rankings, Alabama is No. 2, Houston is No. 4 and Rutgers is No. 25.

Tuesday, Nov. 26

Houston vs. Alabama – 8 p.m. EST | TBS

Rutgers vs. Notre Dame – 10:30 p.m. EST | TBS

Wednesday, Nov. 27

Rutgers vs. Alabama – 10 p.m. EST | TBS

Thursday, Nov. 28

Notre Dame vs. Houston – 12:30 a.m. EST | TBS

Saturday, Nov. 30

Alabama vs. Notre Dame – 1 p.m. EST | truTV

Rutgers vs. Houston – 3:30 p.m. EST | truTV
