Cricket star Jake Fraser-McGurk garnered the instant sympathy of countless Aussie blokes as he suffered a sickening blow to the groin on Thursday night when batting in the Big Bash League.
Melbourne Renegades opener Fraser-McGurk, 22, copped a Billy Stanlake delivery right where it hurts during the second over in Geelong and his reaction told the story.
‘F–k me,’ the batting prodigy was heard saying through the stump microphone.
Fraser-McGurk was back on his feet seconds later – only to be out the very next ball, chopping a delivery from Stanlake onto his off-stump.
‘Maybe a little tentative after that nasty blow,’ Aussie cricket legend Adam Gilchrist quipped on Fox Cricket.
Thankfully for Fraser-McGurk his Renegades team turned on the style, crushing the Hobart Hurricanes in a comfortable run chase.

It followed the lowest-ever BBL total for the away side, who also lost veteran Matthew Wade to a calf injury in the shambolic six-wicket loss.
After being asked to bat first, the Hurricanes’ innings at GMHBA Stadium lasted less than 13 overs as they were skittled for 74.
Kiwi star Tim Seifert then belted an unbeaten 37 as the Renegades chased down 75 in only nine overs.
Renegades skipper Will Sutherland plus Tom Rogers and Fergus O’Neill all snared three wickets for the rampant men in red.
‘We’ve got a short turnaround so whether I miss the next one, and then we don’t play again until the 27th (of December),’ a deflated Wade said post-match when discussing his injury.
‘One (match) at worst, I’m hoping, but we’ll wait and see, get a scan.
‘Hopefully it’s just a strain, that would be best-case scenario.’
The Renegades move to 1-1 after losing their opening game of the tournament against the Sydney Sixers.
Hobart will attempt to put a disastrous start to the season’s BBL behind them when they next host the Perth Scorchers on December 21.
