Ousmane Dembélé’s return to PSG training delayed due to tonsillitis

Ousmane Dembélé’s (27) return to Paris Saint-Germain training is set to be delayed due to the attacker suffering from a bout of tonsilitis, the club has confirmed. The France international was expected to return to training with Les Parsiens today ahead of their upcoming Ligue 1 match against Nice on Sunday.

Following his diagnosis of a throat infection by the French capital club’s medical staff, the 27-year-old was sent home to recover from the illness. The former Barcelona wide player is expected to return to training with PSG on Friday, giving him a chance to be ready for their match against Les Aiglons.

A delay to Luis Enrique reunion

Dembélé was shockingly left out of the Les Parisiens squad to play Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday. The French attacker was excluded from the cohort that travelled to London by Luis Enrique after a heated confrontation between the pair. As reported by Fabrice Hawkins, the PSG boss was open to welcoming Dembélé back to training on Thursday but he was sent home due to illness.
