Those dark sunglasses traveled from Detroit. The same frames Jayden Daniels paired with a light blue suit Thursday night while walking across a stage to meet the NFL commissioner — the look screamed swag, because only the most confident among us would rock sunglasses on their first day at work — he also wore Friday afternoon as he entered the Washington Commanders meeting room. As General Manager Adam Peters, his face fixed into a smile, began his welcome (“Without further ado, on behalf of the entire Commanders organization, I have the special privilege and honor to introduce our first-round pick …”), Daniels finally removed the shades and outfitted himself with an accessory this franchise could use: self-restraint.
