Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has joined the Argentina national team for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The reigning world champions will meet South American minnows Venezuela and Bolivia in their October fixtures.

Despite losing twice in their first eight World Cup qualifying games, Lionel Scaloni’s men lead the charge in the CONMEBOL group.

Lautaro Martinez could use the international break as a welcome distraction after a stuttering Serie A start.

Thrilled to reunite with his fellow countryman, he took to Instagram. He posted a photo with a telling ‘Let’s Go National Team’ caption.
