PSG on Alert as Atalanta Maintains €75 Million Asking Price for Arsenal, Liverpool Summer Target

Late in the summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain was linked to Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. More information on this file surfaced, noting that the capital club could revisit this file.

The Parisians’ attack has struggled to score goals in recent matches, which begs the question of whether there’s enough depth of players who can put the ball in the back of the net.

In the closing days of the transfer window, Lookman attracted interest from multiple clubs, not just PSG. Arsenal and Liverpool were also keen on the 26-year-old. Since joining Atalanta in 2022, he’s made a significant impact.

Last season, he featured in 45 matches, showcasing his talent with 17 goals and 10 assists. One of the standout moments of his season was his stunning hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.

The latest information on Lookman comes from Fichajes, who reports that the asking price for Lookman is between €65 million and €75 million, which is a fee that’s likely there to scare off the Parisians in January as Atalanta are in the UEFA Champions League and battling for European positions for next season.

Last month, TuttoAtalanta reported that PSG offered between €25 and €30 million, including bonuses, far from the €50 million that Atalanta was expecting.

As a result, the Serie A side want to hold onto a key figure rather than make a sale in January. It will be interesting to see what transpires. If PSG’s attack continues to struggle for goals, then they might have to consider a move in the winter window.
