Real Madrid Castilla is having a 2024-25 season to forget up to now. The Merengue reserve team has been playing at a woeful level this season and has won only one match in the Primera Federacion up to now. The Spanish publication reports that Raul will leave Castilla at the end of this season, and the club has already made this decision and communicated it to the former striker.
Furthermore, his successor at Real Madrid Castilla has also already been chosen. This will be no other than Alvaro Arbeloa, who has been performing at a commendable level with Juvenil A.
It has been clear for some time now that Raul’s time at Castilla is coming to an end. Now, at the end of this season, he will leave the reins of the Real Madrid quarry after six seasons, irrespective of the results that the team gets by that time.
However, Raul leaving Castilla does not mean he will also be leaving Real Madrid. The Merengues will give him a new role in the club, but he will not coach any other youth-level team. One possible role for him could be to become an assistant to Carlo Ancelotti, with whom he has an excellent relationship.
