Real Madrid conducted their training session today at Valdebebas with few changes from their routine during the ongoing international break.
Several international players have remained at the club for various reasons, though they have been unable to participate in full training under Carlo Ancelotti’s supervision.
The Italian manager once again worked with a limited group of first-team stars comprising Lucas Vazquez, Jesus Vallejo, Ferland Mendy, Fran Garcia, and Dani Ceballos, supplemented by academy players.
Real Madrid expect fitness boosts before Celta Vigo clash
Now, AS reports that Real Madrid expect nearly all players carrying knocks to be available for their return to action on Saturday, October 19, against Celta Vigo at Balaídos.
Apart from the long-term absentee David Alaba, Real Madrid are also dealing with injuries or knocks to the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Brahim Diaz, Kylian Mbappe, Eder Militao, Andriy Lunin (illness), and Vinicius Jr.
As per the report, apart from Brahim and Alaba, the rest are expected to be ready for the Balaidos clash.
Courtois participated in specialised work both in the gym and on the field today, while Mbappe, who is doing a mini pre-season of sorts, underwent an individual session focused on physical conditioning, conducted entirely indoors.
The French forward has placed himself under Antonio Pintus’ guidance during this break to achieve the peak physical condition that has eluded him so far this season.
Meanwhile, Lunin, Militao, and Vinicius, all of whom were forced to withdraw from their respective national team squads, underwent recovery work with Real Madrid’s rehabilitation specialists and physiotherapists.
While their recovery processes are progressing more slowly, Los Blancos remain confident about their availability for the Celta Vigo match.
