Real Madrid looking to offer €200m superstar a new contract

The last week has not been a good one for Real Madrid. After one of their best performances in the match against Borussia Dortmund, the Merengues saw their unbeaten streak come to a humiliating end as they fell to a 4-0 defeat to their eternal rivals, FC Barcelona.

Vinicius Junior, who had led the attack with a memorable hat-trick against Dortmund, was unable to get on the scoresheet against Barcelona, one of his favourite opponents.

However, despite the setbacks received in this last week, Mundo Deportivo reports that Real Madrid are ready to offer the Brazilian a renewal.

Discussions between the two parties for such a renewal have been going on for several months now, but Vinicius had been trying to drag these negotiations out, waiting for the best possible moment to announce this renewal.

As things stand, there is complete agreement between the two parties, and only the time of announcing this renewal remains to be agreed upon.

The winger’s current contract also goes up to 2027, and it is still unknown for how long his new contract will keep him at Real Madrid. However, the report claims that it will fulfil the Brazilian star’s dream of staying at the Merengue club for life.

Relations between the club and the player are quite good, but the memory of the interest he received from Saudi Arabia recently still lives in their minds. At the end of the last summer transfer window, the Middle Eastern entity tried to entice the club to part ways with their superstar for €1 billion.

While this advance was rejected at that time, the Saudis have still not given up on their desire to make Vinicius the footballing image of their country and the 2034 World Cup, an event they hope to host in their country.
