Report: Barcelona keeping an eye on the situation of Manchester United winger

Barcelona are reportedly keeping a close eye on the situation of Manchester United’s winger, Alejandro Garnacho, as revealed by Mundo Deportivo.

It has been suggested that Garnacho is in a challenging position and there are growing rumours that he could be open to leaving the Premier League giants.

According to reports from England, the youngster is becoming increasingly frustrated with the limited role that Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has given him in the early stages of the season.

This lack of playing time might lead him to consider his future, and Barcelona are one of the clubs monitoring the situation closely.

So far this season, Garnacho has made ten appearances for Manchester United, managing to score four goals and assist in three others.

Despite this, his role under Ten Hag has not been as prominent as he would have hoped, and this has sparked speculation about a possible move.

Interest in Garnacho is plenty

Barcelona, among other clubs, are reportedly keeping tabs on him, should he decide to leave in search of more regular playing opportunities.

However, it is not only Barcelona who are interested. Juventus have also been mentioned as a possible destination for the winger. Garnacho’s contract with Manchester United runs until 2028, and his market value is currently around €50 million.

However, despite the interest from these top European clubs, there are a few obstacles in the way of Garnacho joining Barcelona.

Anti-Barcelona

For one, Barcelona’s financial situation may prevent them from making such a large investment, given their recent economic struggles. Additionally, Garnacho has been pretty anti-Barcelona in the past, which could make a move to the Catalan giants less likely.

Given the circumstances, it seems unlikely that Barcelona will pursue Garnacho seriously, despite the ongoing rumours.

The combination of financial limitations and Garnacho’s past interactions with the club may make any potential deal quite complicated. For now, while Barcelona are keeping an eye on the situation, the possibility of Garnacho donning the Blaugrana shirt remains slim.
