The Rogue Points System, formerly called the Rogue Invitational Qualifying System, will begin awarding points to athletes who compete at competitions outside of the CrossFit Games season and the Rogue Invitational. Beginning in 2025, CrossFit’s new In-Person Qualifying Events, the World Fitness Project and TYR Wodapalooza will be included in the ranking calculation.
Last year, when the Rogue Points System was introduced, only the CrossFit Open, CrossFit Quarterfinals, CrossFit Games and Rogue Invitational were utilized when calculating its athlete rankings.
While still technically in Beta (testing mode), Rogue has capped the maximum number of points available at each of these newly added competitions with the actual number of points awarded to be based on the actual strength of each field.
The max points for each of competition are as follows:
- CrossFit Games: 1,000
- Rogue Invitational: 1,000
- CrossFit In-Affiliate Semifinal: 500
- World Fitness Project (New): 350*
- CrossFit Open: 250
- TYR Wodapalooza (New): 250*
- CrossFit In-Person Qualifying Event (New): 100*
- CrossFit Games Win: 100
- Rogue Invitational Win: 100
- Rogue Invitational Participation: 20
*Actual points will be based on strength of field of top 30 athletes competing.
Rogue will be using the 2025 TYR Wodapalooza to beta test strength of event points assigning points available for the In-Person Qualifying Events or the WFP competitions.
Points will only be assigned to these new competitions beginning in 2025. That is, while the Rogue Points System awards points for historical performances from the three previous years, it will not include previous Wodapalooza competitions or CrossFit Semifinal competitions.
The Rogue Points System was implemented last year and is the used to determine who is invited to compete at the Rogue Invitational.
