Roma and Nicola Zalewski are expected to decide on the next steps to take as the player enters the final months of his contract with the club.
On Saturday, Zalewski finally returned to Roma’s squad list after over a month of absence.
The young Polish winger had not been on the list of available players since match against Juventus on September 1st.
In Monza he will be available to Ivan Juric, after the club gave the final green light for the call-up.
Zalewski had already been training with the group for about ten days, and his return was welcomed positively by the team and the club, who appreciated the player’s professionalism despite the difficult period.
The exclusion was linked to the uncertainties over the contract renewal and the refusal to transfer to Galatasaray, but now Roma is ready to reopen negotiations with the aim of avoiding a free transfer next June.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the club will evaluate two possible scenarios: a contract extension with an adjustment of the salary or a transfer in the January market.
