Former Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta spoke on the margins of the Mediolanum Padel Cup, a padel tournament held at the Villa Pamphili Padel Club in Rome.
In his brief interview with the present media, Perrotta was asked about Roma and Ivan Juric’s appointment.
“Roma is experiencing a moment of uncertainty with the departure of De Rossi and the arrival of Juric given that they play differently.”
“I don’t think Juric can follow in Spalletti’s footsteps, I hope he can. I wish him that,” he said.
“Clearly that initial Roma wasn’t exciting to watch. We were coming from a season in which we were almost relegated,” he continued.
“Until December we went on the same tracks, then from December onwards we changed the system, also due to the emergency of injured players and from there we won 11 consecutive games, with Totti as centre forward and me behind him, Mancini and Taddei on the wings and with Daniele in the midfield. We were a very strong team.”
