Arne Slot has made his thoughts known on Mohamed Salah’s contract situation after another brilliant performance from the Egyptian King at Old Trafford.
Liverpool came away with all three points after beating Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Salah was one of the game’s standout players and created two assists for Luis Diaz before scoring Liverpool’s third goal.
This means the 32-year-old now has three goals and three assists from his first three Premier League games this season, and all signs point to the Egyptian having another excellent campaign.

What did Slot say?
After the game, Slot said:“It’s a lot of ‘if’, at this moment he’s one of ours and I’m really happy with him being one of ours, he plays really well.”
The Liverpool boss also then went on to reaffirm his position on not going into too much detail on player contracts in public, a stance he has held since his first Liverpool press conference.
The Dutchman’s refusal to shed more light on Salah’s contract situation may be frustrating for some Liverpool supporters but Slot is clearly a big fan of his no.11 and the forward is in frightening form this season, so there may be something to be hopeful about.

Salah’s contract situation
Much like club captain Virgil van Dijk and vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold, Salah’s contract expires at the end of this season and from January he will be able to start negotiating with foreign teams over a free transfer.
Unlike the other two, Salah gave some insight after the Man United game and hinted that this may be his final season with the Anfield club.
These comments will have worried supporters but there is still a lot of time for the club to come to an agreement with Salah and his representatives and the forward still appears to be fully committed to Liverpool on the pitch this season.
