Sprinter Tristan Dorville Verbally Commits To Virginia Tech
NEW COMMIT: Virginia Tech has landed a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from sprinter Tristan Dorville out of Jacksonville, Florida. He competes internationally for Saint Lucian Swimming Federation.
He will join Lucas Humling and Benedek Tóth in Blacksburg as a member of the Hokies’ Class of 2029.
He told Swimming World:
“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at Virginia Tech. I would like to thank God, my family, friends and mentors for shaping me into the person that i am today. Special thanks to Coach Albert and Sergio for this amazing opportunity. Dorville trains year-round with Bolles School Sharks and raced three events at Juniors East back in December. He sprinted to sixth in the 50 free at Florida Spring Championships.
Internationally, he most recently competed at the XXXVI CCCAN Championship where he took fourth in the 50m free and seventh in the 200m free. He was also a six-time finalist at XXXVII CARIFTA Championship.
Dorville also competed at the World Championship in February and the World Junior Championships last fall.
His best times include:

- 100m free – 51.74
- 100m fly – 55.24
- 50 free – 20.86
- 100 free – 45.20
- 200 free – 1:41.53
A rising senior at Bolles School, Dorville placed fourth in the 100 free at the 2023 Florida 1A State Championships.
