Two area girls golfers punched their tickets to the state tournament.
Chambersburg senior Emily Rensch finished third in the District 3 Class 3A golf tournament Saturday at Honey Run Golf Course. She shot a 79 in the first round, then shaved off four strokes for a 75 in the second.

Shippensburg freshman Kaydee Beckenbaugh finished a stroke behind Rensch in fourth place. She shot a 76, then a 79 to earn a spot in the state tournament.
Abby Byers of Waynesboro shot a 93, then an 85 to finish 15th, but she missed the cut to make the state tournament.
Waynesboro’s Tyler Fortney, who tied for first at the Mid-Penn championships, shot 79s both rounds to finish in a tie for 25th in Class 3A, outside of the cut to make the state tournament.
