Syracuse men’s basketball: Class of 2025 wing Aaron Womack commits to Orange

Date:

The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball program picked up a second commitment in the class of 2025. Aaron Womack, an unranked three-star prospect, announced his commitment on Monday afternoon via On3. He picked Syracuse over offers from Buffalo, Illinois State, Illinois Chicago, Murray State, William & Mary, Wisconsin Green Bay and Wisconsin-Milwaukee, among others.

Womack, a 6-foot-6 wing out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, visited the Syracuse campus over the weekend where he was offered a scholarship, according to Mike McAllister of 24/7 Sports. Womack committed to the staff on Saturday before heading home. He attended a men’s basketball practice and the Syracuse football game versus Holy Cross.

“On Friday we toured the facility and I met with all of the trainers and coaches,” Womack said (via 247). ‘Then we did a photo shoot and had dinner that night. Saturday I watched practice and afterwards we went to the football game, toured campus and had dinner again. The best part to me was watching practice and seeing how hard the guys worked. How I could work into the system and help compete for a national championship. Everyone was so welcoming and respectful to me and my family.”

Syracuse has secured two commitments in the 2025 class. Sadiq White, a five-star forward, committed to the program in May. The Orange staff remains in pursuit of legacy recruit Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo Anthony.
