It was another packed episode of The Hockey Show this week, and it came with a Florida Panthers twist.
Joining hosts Roy Bellamy and David Dwork was Panthers play-by-play voice Doug Plagens.
The boys got into the week that was with the Cats, which wasn’t particularly enjoyable for the team or its fans as Florida was beaten twice by the New Jersey Devils on home ice.
The trio discussed the season outlook for the Panthers and the depth of the roster being an even greater strength this year than it was during their Stanley Cup winning 2023-24 campaign.
This week’s show also included some of Dave and Roy’s weekly wins, losses and hot takes, which touched on some of the more entertaining fights from the past week, including a pummeling at the hands of former Panther Ryan Lomberg, and a rant about embellishment penalties and their place in the NHL.
The latest Hockey Hall of Fame class was inducted, and they took a look at the people who are eligible for next year’s group.
