A crash involving three tractor-trailers has temporarily closed the eastbound lanes of the New York state Thruway in Ontario County Thursday morning.
According to New York State Police, the collision occurred around 4:35 a.m. at mile marker 327.6, near Exit 42 (Geneva) in Ontario County, on the eastbound lanes of the highway. The eastbound lanes of the road are currently closed between Exits 42 and 43, as the collision has blocked the highway, troopers said. Eastbound motorists are being diverted from the Thruway at Exit 43 (Manchester) and are able to re-enter Interstate 90 at Exit 41 (Waterloo), troopers said.
Troopers said it was not clear how long the stretch of the highway would remain closed. Expect significant delays in the area.
