The Dallas Cowboys are back in the win column, courtesy of the New York Giants.
In an ugly, injury-filled “Thursday Night Football” game, the Cowboys held on for a 20-15 win against their NFC East rivals. It is starting quarterback Dak Prescott’s 13th straight win over New York.
The Dallas defense was the difference-maker. After back-to-back rough outings against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens, the unit locked down the Giants run game, allowing 26 yards on the ground on 24 attempts, and forced quarterback Daniel Jones to air it out if he wanted to win.
Giants rookie Malik Nabers was up to the task, with 12 receptions for 115 yards, but few others were. Prescott, meanwhile, 22-for-27 for 221 yards and two touchdowns, while CeeDee Lamb had 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately, both teams were bit by the injury bug. Cowboys defensive standouts Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs and DeMarcus Lawrence all left the game at different points with injuries, while Nabers was ruled out in the fourth quarter with a concussion.
