Transformers Rolls Out World’s First Permanent Physical Store for 40th Anniversary

Date:

The Transformers have gotten just about everything for their 40th anniversary, from new toys, cards and comics to a brand-new theatrical movie. Now, the robots in disguise are rolling out with a new store dedicated entirely to them.

Via License Global, along with fellow Hasbro brand Peppa Pig, the Transformers franchise is getting a permanent store in the UK. Featuring all manner of immersive experiences, tons of toys and everything else that fans could possibly want, it’s set to be the ultimate in Transformers events, albeit being held all year round. Set to open its Space Bridge this fall, the business and all that it offers will surely be “store” than meets the eye.

Transformers Fans Can Visit Cybertron With Hasbro’s New Overseas Store

In honor of the 40th anniversary of Transformers and the 20th anniversary of Peppa Pig, Hasbro is opening permanent stores offering goods and services based on these properties. For the Cybertronians, the stage will be set with a mural celebrating the Transformers and Battersea Power Station, courtesy of MurWalls. There will be several Transformers video games and AR experiences featured, including a themed trading card game. Of course, plenty of toys, including demos of the Robosen self-transforming action figures based on Optimus Prime and other characters, will also make an appearance. Meanwhile, fans looking to pose with their favorite Autobots and Decepticons can do so via the planned statues and artwork in the store, with different sections of the establishment even resembling the retro toy packaging associated with the series.

Other experiences will be based around the new Transformers One movie, which reimagines the franchise and showcases the early years of characters such as Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee. There will even be an exclusive cover release for the acclaimed Skybound Entertainment Transformers comic book, which has now been published for one year. While the Hasbro-branded store isn’t yet open to the public, the Battersea Power Station (Circus Rd W, Nine Elms, London SW11 8DD, U.K.) location will finally be available this November — definitely one of the biggest manifestations of Transformers‘ 40th-anniversary celebration, which is currently being honored by enthusiasts all around the world.
