MIAMI — Cameron and Cayden Boozer, the five-star high school basketball prospects and twin sons of two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, have committed to play college basketball at Duke, their father’s alma mater.
Cameron, a 6-foot-9 power forward at Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, is the second-ranked boys basketball prospect in the ESPN 100 Class of 2025 rankings. Cayden, a 6-4 point guard, ranks 17th.
The Boozer brothers announced their commitment to Duke via a YouTube video in collaboration with The Players’ Tribune.
“Cameron Crazies, be ready for next season,” Cayden says in the video, addressing the Duke student section named after its home Cameron Indoor Stadium.
“Yes sir, Duke nation, baby,” Cameron adds.
The Boozer brothers become Duke’s first commitments in the class of 2025, per ESPN. They were also considering Miami, Kentucky, Florida and Arkansas, according to 247Sports.
“I’m proud of them. They’ve worked their butts off for this moment,” Cameron and Cayden’s father, Carlos, told ESPN. “Really excited that they took their time. Decided to play together in college, which is amazing. They both complement each other so well. They made the best decision for them. Me and mom couldn’t be any prouder. It’s going to be a fun journey.”
Carlos, a collegiate standout at Duke, was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the 2002 NBA Draft. The 13-year NBA veteran played his first two seasons in Cleveland, the latter of which was alongside then-Cavs rookie phenom LeBron James. He went on to play the next 11 seasons for the Utah Jazz, where he earned consecutive All-Star selections in 2007 and 2008, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.

The Boozer brothers have led Christopher Columbus HS to three consecutive Florida 7A state championships under coach Andrew Moran.
Last season as a junior, Cameron was named the MaxPreps high school boys basketball National Junior of the Year after averaging 22.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.1 blocks per game for the Explorers. He was also named to MaxPreps’ 2023-24 All-America First Team, being the lone junior to make first team.
In July 2023, the Boozer brothers led their AAU team, Nightrydas Elite, to a first place finish at Nike’s Peach Jam tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Cayden scored 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting with five assists, three rebounds and three steals in the championship game, while Cameron dropped five points and seven rebounds as they defeated Maine United, 58-50.
