University of Alabama names Hannah Adams 2024 homecoming queen

The University of Alabama on Friday night named Hannah Adams as the 2024 homecoming queen.

The homecoming queen announcement was made on the UA Quad during a pep rally, which also featured a bonfire and a drone light show.

Adams is a senior from Birmingham, who is double-majoring in Political Science and Public Relations on the CREATE Path to a master’s degree in business administration. Adams is set to be crowned during halftime of Saturday afternoon’s Alabama-Missouri football game.

According to UA, Adams is a member of this year’s inaugural class of Shelby Scholars, the Blackburn Institute and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. She is also a childhood cancer survivor and founded the non-profit H.U.G.S. 4 Childhood Cancer with her family.

“Over the past three years as a student, I have developed a deep love and appreciation for the University of Alabama. From pursuing dual degrees, running my own nonprofit and collaborating with various university organizations, my hope is to connect with all students and inspire them to have hearts of service,” said Adams in a news release.

UA said 9,776 students voted in the election for homecoming queen.

The rest of the UA homecoming court included:

  • Lauren Crawford: A senior from Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science

  • Reagan Labiak: A senior from High Point, North Carolina, majoring in criminal justice and political science

  • Allison Pope: A senior from Edmond, Oklahoma, majoring in creative advertising with a minor in cyber criminology
