Vikes take BCC in tennis

Sep. 17—OAKLAND CITY — The Barr-Reeve Tennis team won their match against Wood Memorial 5-0 on Monday night to go 12-1 on the season and win the Blue Chip Conference with a 5-0 record. The Vikings took every game of every set against the Trojans.

At No. 1, Xavier Meiring beat Wood’s Jacob Henry, 6-0 6-0, Daniel Underwood beat Maks Lecocy, 6-0, 6-0 at the second slot, while Kierson Lengacher beat Parker Lee, 6-0, 6-0 to round out the singles sweep.

In doubles, Levi Lester and Isaac Madison beat Carter Livermore and Spencer Teeter, 6-0, 6-0 in the top doubles spot, while Kyle Graber and Brody Swartzentruber beat Clayton Vowells and Spencer Horchelback, 6-0, 6-0.

The Vikings take Heritage Hills on Tuesday.
