VOTE THE MVP FOR SEPTEMBER 2024

An important and positive month that will have the team feeling confident heading into their upcoming fixtures. A month where, above all, Christian Pulisic, Matteo Gabbia, Tijjani Reijnders and Theo Hernández took centre stage. These are the players who impressed the fans the most in this period and are in the running to be named as the Rossoneri MVP for September 2024.

San Siro was the setting as this quartet shone under the lights. Christian Pulisic bagged from the penalty spot in the team’s 4-0 victory over Venezia, an evening where he was best performer on the pitch, and he’s well and truly pushed on. Indeed, since that game, he’s scored in every single one of AC Milan’s matches (plus an assist), with Liverpool, Inter and Lecce all falling victim to the US international. Pulisic already has seven goal involvements (5+2) to his name in 2024/25.

Matteo Gabbia keeps on growing and putting in increasingly convincing displays at the heart of the Rossoneri backline, helping the team keep their first two clean sheets of the Serie A campaign. And then, of course, there was his winner in the derby (after which he won the MVP award), an imperious header that sent the entire Rossoneri faithful into raptures. As for Tijjani Reijnders, he showed his quality throughout September. The Dutchman fully asserted himself in midfield and made a difference in both attack and defence.

The numbers only partly describe the important role played by Reijnders, who provided his only – and yet, highly significant – assist of the month for Gabbia against Inter. Meanwhile, Theo Hernández truly turned on the afterburners, finding the net against Venezia and coming up with a goal and an assist – and receiving well-deserved recognition for this – in the team’s last outing against Lecce. Theo, with all his runs down the left flank, is once again proving to be a leader in this side. It’s up to you to choose the very best performer.
