But with such a small budget it seemed almost impossible.

That is until Liz came up with a rather unique solution.

According to Jam Press, the pair – who live in Buckinghamshire – have been SWAPPING HOMES with foreigners to allow them to fulfil their dream.

Now, they’ve visited 21 different places and saved a mouth-watering £20,000 on accommodation.

It all started when Liz came up with the idea to exchange homes with other budding travellers on the travel website, HomeExchange.

They decided to swap their house with a family in Perth, Australia, for two-and-a-half weeks.

But it didn’t just stop at homes.

They essentially took over each others daily lives.

The couples swapped cars, and numbers, and making new friends they still have contact with today.

After Australia, the pair were hooked and have since made trips to South Africa, the U.S.A. and Canada.

They’re so obsessed, they’re making up to FIVE trips a year, and they reckon it costs just £800 for the pair of them.

Liz said: “I worried at first if my home would be damaged, if there were any scams or if the homes I exchanged would be okay.

“But travel has always been a passion for us, experiencing different cultures and new places, so that was a driver.

“In our view, it’s better than staying in a hotel or AirBnB, as that’s getting quite expensive, especially when there’s just the two of you.

“If it wasn’t for swapping our home, I wouldn’t have been able to afford and fulfil lifelong ambitions that I have dreamed about since I was little.”
