While it’s not known exactly which era – ahem – exactly Taylor Swift will enter once she calls time on her record-breaking, billion dollar-making Eras tour, one place where several – if not all – of the answers can be found is the stars.
Between her relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce, her long-rumoured new music and just what might lie ahead after such a stratospheric spike in her career, clues to the kind of 2025 Swift will have can be found nestled, like the easter eggs she so masterfully lays for her fans, in her birth chart.

Astrologer, Veronica Dodds, has been analysing Swift‘s birth chart and is clear that change is afoot for the star in the new year. ‘She is going to wake up to aspects of herself and life that she has not been aware of before,’ Dodds notes as an overview of Swift’s horoscope. ‘She will see herself from a broader perspective and will have a greater understanding of community and society; some habits and patterns which do not serve her well being will come to an end and she will have a maturity which she has not had before.’
Of course, for the loyal Swifties among us, the singer’s signs almost require no introduction. She was born in 1989 – hence the title behind her fifth studio album – on Wednesday, December 13, making the ‘Fortnight’ singer’s sun sign a Sagittarius (also known as the Archer — yes, like the song on Lover) and a Cancer moon. It’s impossible to know for sure what her rising sign is without knowing her exact time of birth, but guesses on the internet have placed it at either 5:17 a.m., making her a Scorpio rising or 8:36 a.m., making her a Capricorn rising.
What does Taylor Swift’s birth chart say about her?
Arguably one of the most famous Sagittariuses in the world, there isn’t a Swiftie the world over who doesn’t understand the importance of the fire sign and what it signifies for the star. Her sun in Sagittarius shows her to be warm, broad minded and accepting of many different types of people from all walks of life and cultures,’ Dodds says. ‘She has a strong need for purpose and meaning in her life and this could come from her career or a religious and spiritual belief system or, indeed, through creative work.’
Dodds explains that Swift’s sun is in the twelfth house of the chart, which could explain her large appeal. She says: ‘If you believe in the Universe and that all is connected by energy, sun in the twelfth house shows a person who appeals to many people on a celebrity level and spiritual level. Many people can identify with the feelings and experiences of a person with sun in twelfth house.’
Swift also has two outer planets, Neptune and Uranus, on the sign rising over the eastern horizon of the earth when she was born, both of which are common in the charts of global icons. Dodds notes how the late Marilyn Monroe, who was revered by many, had this in her chart, too. ‘She is powerfully spiritual with a clear healing ability,’ Dodds concludes.
What does Taylor Swift’s birth chart say about her love life?
Much has been made of Swift’s past relationships, but one thing that Dodds warns Swift to be wary of is choosing the right partner. ‘She needs to be careful that romantic partners see her for the individual she is,’ Dodds says. ‘That they see she is much more than her appearance and her status. She’s at risk of being put on a pedestal or on the receiving end of infatuation rather than her truest self at her core being loved.’
In terms of chakras, Dodds adds, Swift could attract root chakra and sacral chakra love rather than her centre, her solar plexus, a problem she deems is ‘common in western society.’
‘She has capacity for enduring relationships and is very down-to-earth about the partner in her life though,’ says Dodds. ‘She’s very passionate with a strong need for physical touch, an innate sensuality and sense of embodiment. She’s also well attuned to the needs of her body and physicality of relationship.’
What does Taylor Swift’s birth chart say about her friendships?
‘She had a huge capacity for friendship because of her accepting nature of so many people, but again, she needs to know who her real friends are, not those who are interested in her career status, but who are there for her as a human being and when she feels vulnerable, which her moon in the sign of Cancer says she can easily feel if hurt and misunderstood,’ Dodds explains, adding that Swift needs to make sure she’s prioritising friends who can mother her as well as her mothering them.
Over the next year, Swift’s birth chart, according to Dodds, shows that her friendships will go through serious transformations both emotionally, spiritually and intellectually. ‘The power balance is important in friendships for her,’ Dodds adds. ‘She needs friends who do not feel less powerful than her and that she does not feel more powerful than them; this will create healthy, sustainable friendships.’
