South Africa vs. India Final T20 team news

The Proteas’ bowling unit faced a relentless onslaught from the Indian batters in the third match. Led by Marco Jansen and supported by Gerald Coetzee, the South African attack struggled to stem the flow of runs. South Africa had also brought in Lutho Sipamla in place of Nqaba Peter, but he failed to make an impact. Only Keshav Maharaj and Simelane showed any effectiveness, each managing to take two wickets. However, India capitalized on the loose bowling to set a daunting total of 219.

South Africa’s ongoing struggles with their top-order batting have become increasingly problematic. Skipper Aiden Markram’s lack of form, combined with the inability of openers Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks to establish a solid start, has added pressure on the middle order. Once again, the middle order couldn’t rise to the occasion. David Miller missed an opportunity to score big, and Heinrich Klaasen, known for his power-hitting, couldn’t steer the game in his team’s favor. Yet, there was a silver lining in Marco Jansen’s outstanding performance, as he not only bowled well but also struck the fastest fifty from his country.

South Africa predicted XI: Aiden Markram (c), Ryan Rickelton, Reeza Heindricks, Tristian  Stubbs, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), David Miller, Marco Jansen, Lutho Sipamla,  Gerald Coetzee, Simelane, Keshav Maharaj.

After a tough loss in the second match against the hosts, the Indian team entered this game determined and well-prepared. They stayed committed to their opening combination of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, they are likely to stick with them for the final match as well. Abhishek, who had struggled in the first two games, found his rhythm here, scoring a much-needed half-century to regain his form. Meanwhile, Sanju unfortunately fell for a duck once again.

In the middle order, Tilak Varma stepped up at number three, crafting an impressive unbeaten knock of 107, marking his maiden T20I century. While Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Rinku Singh didn’t make significant contributions, debutant Ramandeep Singh had a memorable start to his T20I career, launching his first ball for a six. Avesh Khan was rested for this match.

The bowling attack was led by Arshdeep Singh, who delivered a brilliant spell. Although the spin duo of Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi couldn’t make any significant impact in the match, the team might consider a minor change in the bowling lineup. However, they are likely to stick with a similar team composition moving into the final match.

India predicted XI: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Axar Patel, Tilak, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi.
