Hayden White has been hired as the new assistant men’s basketball coach at University of the Ozarks.
White, of Centerton, spent the last two seasons at nationally-ranked Dallas Baptist University as a graduate assistant. The Patriots posted their best season in program history winning the Lone Star Conference East Division Championships and advancing the NCAA Division II Tournament a year ago. The Patriots finished with a 25-6 record last season.
“We are very lucky to have filled our assistant position not only in a timely manner but with a very qualified candidate,” said head coach Matt Bolton. “Hayden not only has deep ties in Arkansas, but has learned under a first-class staff at Dallas Baptist University the last two years. We are fortunate to have him on staff and I am confident he will be an asset in multiple facets of our program.”
Prior to DBU, White served as a student assistant coach at Henderson State University for four seasons. White was part of the 2019-2020 team that won the GAC Conference Tournament. White’s other experience includes holding the position of gold camp coach for USA Basketball where he led USAB Gold camps in Houston.
White received his bachelor’s degree in physical education from DBU in 2022. He is currently pursuing his MBA from DBU.
