Does Indian management want Sanju Samson in Test cricket?
Samson recently scored a century in the Duleep Trophy while striking over 100 and says that he has the required skill set to do well in red-ball cricket as he is set to be available for Kerala’s upcoming matches. He also revealed the conversation with the Indian team management regarding his potential spot in the Test side.

“I believe I have the skill set to succeed in red-ball cricket and I just don’t want myself to be restricted to just white-ball cricket. My desire is to play Test cricket for India. Before the Duleep Trophy, the leadership group told me that they were considering me for red-ball cricket and asked me to take it seriously and play more Ranji Trophy matches,” he told Sportstar.

Sanju has so far played 64 FC games across his career with Kerala, India A and other domestic tournaments like Duleep Trophy and Irani Cup and has close to 4000 runs with an average of 39 and striking at almost 60.
He has 11 centuries and 16 fifties to his name and a high score of 211. More than 50% of his runs have come in boundaries, showing his ability to play according to the situations in red-ball cricket.
