NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Niagara women’s basketball head coach Jada Pierce has announced that Chasity “Speedy” Wilson has signed and will join the Purple Eagles women’s basketball program in 2025-26.
“We are thrilled to add Chasity to our program! Her nickname is Speedy, which is so appropriate for her lightning-quick speed on the court,” said Pierce. “She is a fierce competitor that takes a lot of pride in affecting the game on both sides of the ball. She excels in the classroom and is a high-character person whose values align with our Niagara University Vincentian values.”
A Newark, Del., native, Wilson is a senior guard at Caravel Academy where she will soon become a 1,000-point scorer. She is a three-time All-State honoree, a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year nominee, and following her junior season, was ranked third in the state of Delaware.
As a sophomore, she helped lead her team to a state championship appearance after scoring 30 points in the semifinals.
