The University of Minnesota Duluth women’s basketball team looks to open their 2024-25 season tomorrow night with a trio of home exhibitions to open their schedule. The preseason will start in a similar way as 2023-24, hosting the Lakehead University Thunderwolves.
These preseason matchups for the Bulldogs preview a string of non-conference games to open the regular season, including a run at the GAC-NSIC Conference Challenge and three home games against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Northern Michigan, and Michigan Tech.
A shot at Minnesota State University Mankato (11/26), the reigning NCAA DII national champions, in Romano will be the Bulldogs’ first conference matchup in late November. UMD will find themselves face to face with Concordia St. Paul (12/21) in late December, and will have a chance at redemption against the University of Mary (1/24) for their loss in the semifinals of the 2023-24 NSIC tournament.
UMD women’s basketball welcomes the Lakehead University Thunderwolves for the second straight year for their opening preseason tilt. The Bulldogs came away with the 76-41 win in 2023, but will be looking to NSIC Player to Watch Myra Moorjani and an entirely new starting five after graduating six seniors last season.
