World Entertainment Technology Summit in India

Date:

The World Audiovisual and Entertainment Arts Summit (WAVES) will be held in India for the first time in early February. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this while speaking on the radio.

Comparing WAVES to global events like the World Economic Forum in Davos, Modi noted that “giants of the media and entertainment industry, as well as representatives of the creative world, will come to India for the summit“. “This summit is an important step towards making India a global content creation hub“, he added.

“Whether you are a young creative or an established artiste, associated with Bollywood or regional cinema, a professional from the television industry, an expert in animation, gaming or an innovator in the entertainment technology space, I encourage you to join the WAVES Summit“, the Prime Minister said.

According to him, “The WAVES Summit aims to be a global platform for India’s creative talent, fostering collaboration and showcasing the country’s potential as a world-class content creation hub.“

The summit will be held from 5 to 9 February 2025 in New Delhi at the Bharat Mandapam Exhibition Complex.
