Asked about comparisons to Chelsea hero Gianfranco Zola earlier in the season, Cole Palmer revealed he only ever knew about the Italian through popular videogame fifa.
“I know he’s an icon on FIFA, so he must be good,” Palmer told reporters.
A month on, the Premier League ensured that he got to know the Chelsea legend in person, via a skills masterclass at the Blues’ training ground.
The pair enjoyed a few of Zola’s goals, and faced off in a free kick challenge.
Palmer admitted he would still only pick him for the bench though!
