Southampton will like what they’re seeing from Yukinari Sugawara on international duty.
The 24-year-old defender impressed for Japan during their World Cup qualifiers and found himself on the scoresheet during a 4-0 win against Indonesia on Friday.
Sugawara raced into the right side of the box and remained extremely composed to score the team’s fourth goal from a ridiculously tight angle.
It was his second goal from four appearances in the competition. Perhaps Southampton should let him roam free in the Premier League?
