🎥 Suárez double spares first half Miami blushes

Date:

On a night when Inter Miami looked all but certain to set a new points record, goalkeeper Drake Callender’s error highlighted what could have been a horrific first half for the Herons.

Already one-nil down after New England opened the scoring in just the second minute thanks to Luca Langoni, Miami’s deficit was doubled after Callender committed one of the cardinal sins for a goalkeeper when Dylan Borrero’s tame effort bungled through his legs to make it 2-0 in the 35th minute.

But Uruguayan legend Luis Suárez had other ideas.

A three-minute quickfire brace by the former Barcelona striker leveled matters on the night in south Florida, with MVP candidate Lionel Messi on the bench after a long international break with Argentina.

Now sitting on 20 league goals on the year, second to only D.C. United’s Christian Benteke, the Miami hitman proved once again that it’s not just Messi’s show.
