👑 Kai Havertz equals Emirates record to spare Arsenal’s blushes

Kai Havertz has equalled Robin Van Persie’s Emirates record against Southampton, and spared his side’s blushes in the process.

The Gunners fell behind in shock fashion as Mateus Fernandes drove a low effort past David Raya, but bounced back just moments later.

And it came via Havertz, who latched onto a pass from Bukayo Saka to smash an emphatic finish past Aaron Ramsdale and level the score.

In doing so, the German became just the second player to ever score in seven successive home games at the Emirates Stadium, following on from Robin van Persie who managed it all the way back in the 2011/12 season.

Can Arsenal’s newest hero go onto break it next time out?
